Here at Claims Master Group we help individuals to make their claim through the above scheme and offer a NO win No fee service that provides you with the expert advice you need and an unrivalled professional service.

Claims made against the CICA can be complex and in order to maximise your compensation prospects it is recommended that you seek legal advice.

Our service is a simple and effective one.

  • If you have been injured as a result of a crime we can claim compensation for you.
  • We operate a NO WIN NO FEE scheme which means if we dont win your case, we dont charge.
  • If we do win then we will agree to a share of your compensation as payment of our costs. Unfortunately the CICA do not pay your legal fees.
  • Our fee will amount to no more than 25% of the compensation award
  • There are no hidden expenses and no additional costs we offer a first class service with no hassle and no complications.
  • Claims Master Group offer a quick, efficient and professional expert legal service.

The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority is a Public Body which administers the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Since its introduction in 1964, it has provided an invaluable outlet for innocent victims of violent crime to obtain compensation.

Around 550 staff are employed by the CICA to help administer the scheme and decide upon applications for compensation. Each year a staggering 76,000 applications for personal injury compensation are made and the body spends in excess of £200,000,000 per year in compensation payments.

This provides a much needed resource for the general public helping them through experiences that most people hope never to encounter.

All application are considered in a fair and reasonable manner with due consideration being given to the available facts of each case.

Genuine claimants have nothing to fear in making a claim under the CICA scheme. We are here to guide you through the process and ensure that you receive adequate compensation

If you make a claim against the CICA you may wish to know what you can expect as an award if the case is successful.

We cannot guarantee any level of award under the scheme because every claim is different and needs to be assess on its own merits. The size of any award paid in recognition of victims’ personal injuries is fixed according to a scale, or tariff, set by Parliament.

The tariff applied since April 2001 defines the maximum levels of compensation which may be awarded.

There are 25 levels of compensation for injuries ranging from £1,000 to £250,000. If you qualify also for lost earnings and/or special expenses, the CICA will pay additional compensation up to £250,000. The maximum combined amount payable under the scheme is £500,000.

If you have suffered more than one injury, the CICA will only compensate you for the three most serious. eg:

  • 100 % compensation of the Tariff amount for the most serious injury; plus

  • 30 % of the Tariff amount for the second most serious injury; plus

  • 15 % of the Tariff amount for the third most serious.

The following figures provide you with a general summary of what you might expect to be paid under the scheme for certain specific injuries - if the claim is successful:

    • Broken forearm £3000-£5000
    • Broken lower leg £3500-£6500
    • Facial scarring £2500-£4400
    • Jaw / dental injuries £1250-£4000
    • Broken nose - £1500-2000
    • Minor damage to the eye £1000 (black eye - headaches etc).
