Q. But my accident happened some time ago?
Providing the accident happened within
the last 3 years you’re still able to
make a claim.
If you have suffered a non-fault
personal injury, you have to bring a
claim within 3 years or the court has
the power to refuse to allow you to
claim for your injury.
Exceptions do exist which are:
1. At the time of the accident you did
not know you had been injured
2. Your injury happened by an accident,
but you discover it later. Even if
years later the three-year time limit
applies from when you discovered your
injury.
3. Your injury is going to give you
problems in the future.
